We’re continuing our series on fall invitations to play with an invitation for toddlers and preschoolers to create fall art. (If you’re interested in learning more about play invitations, start here.) Be sure not to miss what my other blogging friends are sharing in this fun fall series! Invitation to Create: Art Using Fall Colors
Theo has really taken an interest in creating things on his own. He’s been practicing using glue and just loves painting. The joy and pride I see in his face when he’s creating art inspired me to set up this invitation to create~ Art Using Fall Colors! (This post contains affiliate links to Amazon.)
- Watercolor paint in fall colors
- Watercolor paper
- Tissue paper squares in fall colors
- Oil pastels
- Liquid glue
Theo was immediately interested in the watercolors. He loved saying the names of each color he used as he painted. After he was done exploring the watercolors, Theo was ready to glue on the tissue paper squares. He did this mainly on his own, but at times I did suggest when he had enough glue on his paper.
When he was done creating, I set his artwork aside to dry. Later we hung it up to display and get our home ready for fall!
