Lucy just recently turned 5! (I can not believe how quickly time goes by~ Am I really a parent to a 5 year old already?) We celebrated her 5th birthday with a bird themed birthday party at a nearby park with all her adorable friends. Not only was the party extremely memorable, but so were all the preparations beforehand. Lucy was so involved in almost every aspect of planning the party, from creating her own birthday invitations to planning the activities! I tried to capture as much of the ... continue reading...

Our Spring Nature Table
Do you have a nature table or nature area in your house? Our nature table is one of our favorite things in our home. Lucy and Theo love playing with all the nature treasures they've found and reorganizing our nature table in various ways. Puzzle Piece Frame and Watercolor Art {Mother’s Day Gift}
I'm so excited to share this cute Mother's Day gift idea (which is actually a modified version of Christmas ornaments we used to make in Kindergarten.) In the second art project children use scissors and colored paper to create an art collage of shapes on canvas. Follow our Art for Kids Pinterest board!  (This post contains affiliate links.) Our Trip to the Museum Recently Lucy and I headed to our local art museum looking for inspiration for our next art ... continue reading...
Make a Spring Wand (Spring Crafts for Kids)
Lucy and I have been reading Emeraldalicious quite a bit lately. I think she's mesmerized by all the colorful pictures and the magical feel of the story. She also loves the main character's wand! We thought it would be fun to make our own spring inspired wand. Luckily, everything we needed we found at Michaels, and it was very inexpensive~ paper straws, wooden bird to trace, card stock, thin ribbon, spring wire garland and tape. Since we are so into birds lately, we obviously went with a ... continue reading...
