This year Gymboree is celebrating why holidays are “the best time to be a kid” by inviting families to share their holiday traditions and memories. You can even enter a photo contest where one family will win a $2500 Gymboree shopping spree!

I am absolutely thrilled to do this sponsored post for Gymboree! My opinion was not swayed in any way by the compensation, as we have been happy customers of Gymboree for years!

Gymboree’s “Best Time to Be a Kid”

Are you ready for the upcoming holiday season? Our family is already feeling the joy and excitement of the holidays here at home! We’ve been spotting festive Christmas lights around our neighborhood, and I’ve seen big smiles appear on the kids’ faces as they open the tiny, little doors on their advent calendars each morning.

We’ve also already selected adorable holiday outfits for Lucy and Theo from Gymboree! I always love how Gymboree has options for both boys and girls that coordinate together and how their holiday collection offers both casual and dressy options.

“Best Time to Be a Kid” Moments

Gymboree is also sharing in the excitement of the holiday season by celebrating why the holidays are “the best time to be a kid”! They’ve even teamed up with Jessica Shyba from MommasGoneCity.com by featuring a video of Jessica’s family sharing their special tradition of cutting down their own Christmas tree and decorating it together as a family.

I love that they were able to cut down their very own Christmas tree- so fun! And I bet decorating the tree at home was made even more special by getting to wear those adorable holiday jammies!

(Did you happen to catch the special code at the end of the video?  You can shop for your own clothes from the line featured in the video at www.thebesttimetobeakid.com.)

Our Special Family Tradition

We also love making special memories during the holiday season. One of my favorite traditions here at home is the decorating of our Christmas tree. Each year we have Christmas music going as ornaments are being hung, and the kids get so excited rediscovering their favorite ornaments as we unpack them from the box.

It’s especially fun to watch the kids hang ornaments they’ve made themselves!

We always end the tree trimming by hanging our star at the very tiptop of the tree! Daddy is pretty good at giving a much needed boost to reach the very top!

The pure joy on the kids’ faces as they hang special ornaments is a memory I will carry with me forever.
