Toddler Activity~ Bowl of Water and Beads

Looking for a quick toddler activity that’s fun and also gives your little one fine motor skill practice? Here was a fun play activity that Theo really enjoyed, and it was quick and easy to put together!

I took out two plastic bowls and filled one with water and left one empty. I added some large wooden beads to the bowl of water. Then I gave Theodore a slotted spoon and watched him practice moving the beads back and forth with the spoon. (Be sure not to leave your child unattended because the beads are small enough for your child to put in his or her mouth).

This kept him busy for quite a long time!

Do you have any quick and easy fine motor skill activities you use with your toddler often? I’d love to have more ideas to add to my list of resources!

Don’t have large beads? You could use just about anything~ dried pasta, dried beans, or even small rocks.

My son could play for hours with buttons and beads. I’ve done all sorts with him but not with water too, think I will give it a try, Thanks for sharing!
