Materials for Glowing Jack-O-Lanterns
Directions for Making Glowing Jack-O-Lanterns
1. Paint your clear cups (we used these) with orange acrylic paint and let dry. Tempera paint will not work as well and tends to crack off the cup after it dries, so be sure to use acrylic paint. We used this brand. (I have a set of these inexpensive drop clothes we use for art projects. They’re perfect for covering our kitchen table at home or tables in the classroom for any craft or art projects for kids involving paint or glue.)
2. After the paint has dried, use your black Sharpie to draw a jack-0-lantern face onto your cup.
3. Place a glowing, flameless tea light (do NOT use a real flame) under your cup and watch your jack-o-lantern glow!
