Exposing toddlers to open-ended art activities can be such a wonderful sensory and learning experience. I love watching my 2 year old become immersed in his art projects, and he’s always so proud of his finished pieces of artwork!

Setting up opportunities for you toddler to create doesn’t have to involve lots of prep work. Often I just put a tablecloth over the table, grab a few art supplies from our cabinet, and let my toddler, Theo, go at it.
He’s usually pretty good working independently unless I’m introducing a new material or skill to him. Theo has recently become interested in using liquid glue. He can sit at the table forever just gluing things to paper…buttons, scraps of paper, sequins.. he loves it all!
