Spring Crafts for Kids: Stamped Paper Sheep
Materials for Stamped Sheep Craft for Kids
- Construction paper in green, black, and white
- Black and white tempera paint
- Pipe cleaner (for stamping)
- Cotton balls
- Scissors
- Glue
- Googly eyes
- Tissue paper squares
- Green and black crayon
Directions for Stamped Paper Sheep Craft
1. Cut a pipe cleaner in half. Bend the bottom of each piece of pipe cleaner into a spiral shape, and leave a bit sticking out at the top for the kids to grasp.
2. Dip the pipe cleaner stamp into your black tempera paint and stamp it all over your white construction paper. We had to occasionally use our other hand to press the stamp down, so be prepared for some messy hands! (Do the opposite to make a black sheep- stamp white paint onto black paper.)
Let the paint dry.
3. Cut out the body of your sheep from the stamped construction paper.
4. Make some sheep heads by cutting out some circles and adding googly eyes, cotton balls, and paper ears.
5. Glue the heads onto the bodies.
6. Glue your sheep onto a large sheet of green construction paper. Draw some legs.
7. Add some flowers to your green field by crumpling up tissue paper squares and gluing them onto the green paper. Draw some stems on the flowers with a crayon.
8. Let your picture dry, and hang it proudly!
