Today Lucy and I decorated her valentine box for school. After lots of brainstorming, we decided on a heart garden theme. It was so much fun, and Lucy was able to do almost all of it herself!
First, I used a box cutter to cut a hold in the top of the box. Then, Lucy painted the box brown and green for her garden. Once the paint dried, she glued green crinkle paper all over the top to look like grass.
To make the heart flowers, I cut out some heart shapes and stapled them to pipe cleaners. Lucy added some embellishments, and then I poked some holes in the top of the box to stick the flowers in.
Now if she can just contain her excitement for a few more days!
