If you have some popsicle sticks at home, why not pull them out and make some festive fireworks decorations! This is a great craft for kids and an especially fun craft for toddlers. Theo and I made these fireworks decorations together and hung them up to get ready for the 4th of July!
Materials:
- popsicle sticks
- glue
- paint & paintbrush
- glitter
- string & scissors (for hanging)
How We Made Them:
I prepared the project ahead of time by gluing popsicle sticks together to resemble fireworks. (Each firework is made of three popsicle sticks.)
Once the glue was dry, Theo and I painted the popsicle stick fireworks red, white, and blue!
We sprinkled glitter on top of the wet paint so the glitter would stick once it was dry.
To hang the fireworks, I tied a piece of clear string to each one. We found a fun spot in our playroom near the window to hang them.
I absolutely love involving the kids in preparations for upcoming holidays. I know Theo felt especially proud to have helped make our patriotic fireworks!
