The Many Benefits of Art
There are so many benefits of art for children, which is why we always try to incorporate it into our days as much as possible, even if it’s just having art supplies easily accessible to the children to use whenever they feel the urge to create. (You can also read about how doing art journaling with my daughter helped her gain confidence in creating and even in writing!)
When I came across this absolutely beautiful post, Circle Paintings with Kinders from Deep Space Sparkle, I was reminded of how wonderful creating art together can be! The photos reminded me of how when people come together, magical things can happen!
As children create with each other, they are building a sense of community and cameraderie. They are working as a team with one common goal, while learning to appreciate differences of others.
You can easily incorporate collaborate art into your classroom, home, or even on a playdate, and it’s perfect for absolutely any age!
Here’s some examples of collaborative art projects for kids to get your started. I’ve organized the collaborative art activities by suggested groups to use them with, although many of the activities would work for every group!
