In reply to Jackie@My Little Bookcase. I would LOVE to see a kookaburra one day! One can only dream. :) Birdwatching has been so much fun for us all. I believe all of the books I featured mainly focused on North American birds, although the journals would work no matter where you are. When I searched Amazon, I did see many field guides available for Australia and New Zealand.

We hear kookaburras in our yard, and my daughter often asks about them. She also knows how to spot a magpie.

I’ve never thought of going bird watching, but I think she’d enjoy it.

Do you know if these books have many Australian birds featured?
