Art projects for kids don’t have to be super involved. In this activity I put out some art materials in spring colors, and invited the children to create!

Spring Art Project for Kids: Create with Spring Colors
I love setting up invitations for the kids to create. By just putting out a few supplies, you can easily provide your child with a fun process art activity perfect for spring! And because it’s so open-ended, the art activity is perfect for toddlers, preschoolers, and on up!(This post contains affiliate links.)
In this activity I simply put some spring colored art supplies onto the table and invited the children to create whatever came to mind!
Materials for Spring Art Invitation to Create
- Watercolor paper
- Watercolors in spring colors (We used Colorations Liquid Watercolor Paints.)
- Paintbrushes
- Tissue paper in spring colors
- Liquid glue
I started by placing all the art supplies onto a surface that the children were able to easily access. I put the spring colored tissue paper in a little wooden bowl.
I love using these little Ball glass jars for liquid watercolors. Because they’re so short, it’s pretty hard to knock them over. I lightened up some blue, green, yellow, and pink by adding a bit of White Liquid Watercolor to each.
Theo and his friend Miss B. had lots of fun creating their spring art!
Here’s Miss B. happily painting with her bright yellow paint.
And Theo is always so proud of himself after some successful gluing with liquid glue!
Here’s Theo’s finished spring art! He and Miss B. had lots of fun creating!
