Magna-Tiles 100 Piece Set: My son has Magna-Tiles at his preschool and just loves playing with them! You can use various shapes to build both flat and 3-D creations.
Basic Roominate: Roominate is a DIY wired dollhouse building kit that encourages the use of STEM skills. Although this toy is designed for girls, I can see both Lucy and Theo enjoying building this together. Such a great hands-on engineering toy!
Lego Flip Top Table: Since both my kids love creating with Duplo and Lego, this table would be perfect. One side has a Duplo building plate and the other side has a Lego building plate. You can flip the table top over to reveal the side you’d like to use. You can also purchase a separate storage drawer that goes with the table.
